Watch · Watch

Is Watch end-to-end encrypted (E2EE)?

No. The current Watch cloud service parses, deduplicates, stores, and queries events, so it should not be described as server-blind end-to-end encryption.

Watch uses HTTPS/TLS for internet transport, but HTTPS and end-to-end encryption are different concepts.

The current Watch Worker parses uploaded buckets and events, normalizes fields, deduplicates records, stores them per account, and returns events for authenticated queries. Because the server participates in that processing, Watch should not currently be described as end-to-end encrypted.
